RASHID ECHESA: William Ruto is Useless and There is No Worth Fighting for him as he Abandons You the time you need him the most.Former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa has lashed out at DP Ruto for his silence in the ongoing purge in Jubilee party.According to the Ex-CS, William Ruto is useless because he has failed to protect his allies who have been fighting for him. “I pleaded with him to save me from being fired but he failed. They have now come for the MPs who have been protecting him yet he is silent,” Mr Echesa said.He said the Deputy President was in State House during the Parliamentary Group but didn’t raise a finger on the fate of Mr Washiali.“The DP is the General, and we have been fighting for him. I can’t understand how a General can abandon his troops and remain silent when they are being purged the way we have seen in Jubilee Party,” he said.According to Mr Echesa, DP Ruto is silent because he thinks he will exploit the sackings in 2022. The DP, he said, had calculated that the sackings would cause anger within the community’s political elite, to his advantage.He told the DP that he will be disappointed if he expects a fallout within the luhya leadership.” I will lead Mulembe youths in the support of BBI and ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta does not retire because he is still young”, he added.
